Real questions, honest answers.

No hedge-everything legal boilerplate — straight answers about how this actually works.

How accurate is the AI at identifying items?

It runs on Claude's vision model, reasoning across a batch of walkthrough frames at once so it can merge the same item seen from multiple angles. Every detected item gets a confidence level (high, medium, or low), and anything low-confidence automatically gets a second, closer look before being saved. It's genuinely good at common household items — it's not perfect, which is exactly why confidence levels are shown to you instead of hidden.

Can it merge two different items into one by mistake, or miss a duplicate?

Possibly, in either direction. Matching the same physical item across frames uses a text-similarity check on the AI's own descriptions, not true object tracking — it's deliberately conservative (two similar chairs are kept as two chairs), but no heuristic is flawless. Review your saved items before relying on the count.

What languages are supported?

The scan flow, item detection, and core site are fully available in English, German, and French — not machine-translated after the fact.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. Frame extraction happens entirely in your browser — only the small, compressed frames the AI needs to see are ever sent to the server, never the raw walkthrough video itself.

What happens if I delete my account?

Your database rows and every file you uploaded — item photos, receipt images, insurance policy documents — are actually removed, across every storage location, not just the account record.

Does this replace a professional appraisal?

No, and it says so wherever it matters — the AI's value and age estimates are honest ballparks, and high-value categories (jewelry, fine art, furs) get flagged as typically needing a real appraisal for full coverage, not a substitute for one.

Can I share my inventory with an insurance agent?

Yes — a real, expiring link that opens without them needing an account, read-only.

What if my policy details change?

Upload a new declarations page any time — it replaces the previous parse and re-checks your coverage against your current scanned total.
