Home Inventory Scanner is built by Milot Shabani, a solo developer based in Hamm, Germany.

Most homeowners and renters have no real record of what they own. After a fire, a theft, or a flood, insurance claims come down to memory — and memory is bad at listing exact brands, models, and values under stress, months or years after the fact.

The fix is simple in theory: film your home once, and keep a real, itemized list. In practice nobody does it, because typing out every item by hand is tedious enough that people put it off indefinitely.

This app removes the tedious part. You film a normal walkthrough with your phone the way you already would — AI does the identifying, categorizing, and pricing, and you get a real report at the end instead of a blank spreadsheet you never finish.

It's priced per scan session, not as a subscription, because a tool you use a few times a year shouldn't come with a recurring bill you have to remember to cancel.
